The inaugural Tindimwebwa and Mijumbi awards At the 2018 4th Annual AAU/ICSU conference, the selfless service and contribution of Drs JVB Tindimwebwa and Cephas Mijumbi to anaesthesia in Uganda were recognised. In their honour, two awards of excellence were created: “The Tindimwebwa Award for excellence in academics and research and The Mijumbi Award for excellence in community service and leadership” Every year, two anaesthesia residents who will have contributed to anaesthesia through self-less service and academic excellence shall be awarded.
