The Association of Anesthesiologists of Uganda is currently training the staff at St Mary’s Hospital Lacor on the use of CCV.
The Gradian Health Systems CCV is a comprehensive care ventilator that provides mechanical ventilation in a wide variety of settings—including those with unreliable access to oxygen and/or electricity. It is built to ventilate critically-ill adult and pediatric patients wherever they present, with up to 21 hours of battery power and portability features to enable ease of use throughout the continuum of critical care.
These machines were bought by the Ministry of Health- Uganda through the Joint Medical Store to cater to the urgent need of ventilators that may arise secondary to the Covid19 pandemic.
109 will be installed in 17 hospitals around Uganda including regional referral hospitals.
