Meet our volunteer Anesthesiologist supporting anaesthesia and critical care services at Jinja and Masaka Regional Referral Hospitals under a joint project of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Uganda and the International Relations Committee of the Association of Anaesthetists (UK and Northern Ireland).
Dr Ruth Muhindo is a young Ugandan Anaesthetisiologist with interest in obstetric anaesthesia. She is currently the AAU-IRC fellow working at Jinja Regional Hospital, supporting the functionalisation of the recovery room and the critical care unit. This experience has enabled her appreciate that “teams deliver better results as compared to groups”
Dr Gladys Nabukenya, also a Ugandan Anesthesiologist is the AAU-IRC fellow providing support to the Anaesthesia department in Masaka Regional Hospital. Gladys, while working to provide the much needed anaesthesia supervision to Non-physician Anaesthesia Officers, aims to benefit from the mentorship by Dr Mary Juliet Nampawu.
